The perfect route to discover La Gomera
La Gomera in the Canary Islands stands out for its large ravines and lush vegetation. On the route we propose we leave from San Sebastian and will visit various points of interest on the island to end the day in Playa de Santiago where you can spend the night in a unique and incredible place.
Road to Vallehermoso
From San Sebastian we will depart to the small village of Vallermoso located in the north of the island. For this we will cross the wonderful Garajonay National Park and enjoy its vegetation and clean air, being able to contemplate the Canarian laurel forest that leaves green prints that will be marked in your memory.
It is advisable to take a few short breaks during this journey to rest from the road and its curves, and take advantage of the opportunity to take photos and record videos in this magnificent environment.
Vallerhemoso is one of those things to see in La Gomera that are different. A small village that still reflects the essence of this island. You have to take advantage of the passage through the town to make a visit to Efigenia House where you can enjoy typical Canarian dishes such as puchero de verduras, escaldón de gofio, mojo rojo con pan and the best homemade almogrote of La Gomera.
Visit to the Charco del Conde
From Vallehermoso we head towards the coast towards Valle Gran Rey. Arriving at this charming coastal town we can admire the famous cliffs and ravines typical of La Gomera, which lead to black sand beaches. Watching the sunset on the beaches of this bohemian town is priceless.
Once in Valle Gran Rey you can visit the Charco del Conde, a natural pool of clean and crystalline waters where you can take a dip to cool off and enjoy the waters of the Atlantic. In the Charco del Conde itself you can have a snack and a bite to eat at Ciro Housesitting on one of its magnificent terraces.
A visit to Valle Gran Rey is one of the things to see in La Gomera that every visitor should include in their calendar.
