Description
In the Pico del Montañón, Caideros, in the municipality of Gáldar, this cheese factory is run by Flora María Gil Mendoza and Domingo Moreno Moreno, who took over after a long tradition of cheese making and transhumant grazing in their family. They make their artisan cheeses thanks to their own livestock of Majorcan goats and Canary Island sheep. . They also make vegetable rennet cheese and half-flower cheese from raw sheep's milk.
Its wonderful cheeses can be tasted and bought in the cheese shop itself, as well as in nearby shops, local restaurants and supermarkets in the municipality of Gáldar.
