Where to eat in the south of Tenerife

The southern part of the island of Tenerife is known for its marvellous sandy beaches, which run along practically the entire coastline. The enviable climate and the sun, constant all year round, keep the waters warm and allow you to enjoy water sports and the wide range of leisure and gastronomy on offer in the area. The southern area of Tenerife

The southern part of the island, where most of the leisure and gastronomy is concentrated, is made up of three important points of interest: Los Cristianos, Las Américas and Costa Adeje. The three restaurants we will discuss below are located in Costa Adeje, as this area is home to the largest number of luxury hotels in Europe.

Costa Adeje is noted for its shopping areas and luxury hotels, as well as the colonies of dolphins and whales that inhabit its waters. Most of the award-winning restaurants, whether Michelin starred or Repsol suns, are located inside the hotels in this area. Below we will talk about three of these, which represent a perfect example of where to eat in the south of Tenerife.

Restaurant El Rincón de Juan Carlos

El Rincón de Juan Carloswith one Michelin star and three Repsol suns, is located in La Caleta, in Costa Adeje, inside the fabulous Royal Hideaway Corales Resort hotel.

The Padrón brothers

Run by the Padrón brothers, Juan Carlos and Jonathan, this restaurant defends a style of cuisine where flavour and balance are the indisputable pillars of its dishes. All combined with the best local produce and the most select international products.

The cuisine of this restaurant, in the chef's own words, is "a logical, well-founded and coherent cuisine". Through this, the diner can clearly appreciate the flavours and essence of each dish.

El Rincón de Juan Carlos offers a full tasting menu for 130 euros per person, as well as three different wine pairings to accompany it.

The restaurant M.B. of the well-known chef Martín Berasategui, with two Michelin stars and two Repsol suns, is located inside the luxurious hotel The Ritz-Carlton Abama in Guía de Isora, very close to Costa Adeje.

In the restaurant, the chef Erlantz Gorostiza, of Basque origin, offers a cuisine where talent, creativity, imagination, good work and extraordinary raw materials are a constant. A benchmark of haute cuisine on the island that combines the best Mediterranean products with those of the archipelago.

There are two menus. On the one hand, a great tasting menu worth 180 euros per person and, on the other hand, a menu of great classics worth 150 euros per person. There is also an à la carte menu where you can order individual dishes.

The Nub restaurantrestaurant, with one Michelin star and one Repsol sun, is located inside the magnificent Bahía del Duque hotel in Costa Adeje.

At Nub, Chilean Fernanda Fuentes-Cárdenas and Italian Andrea Bernardi, both chefs, define their cuisine as a search for and rescue of their origins. This allows them to establish enriching meeting points between both culinary universes with the Canary Islands as a tasty backdrop. The aim of the two chefs is expressed in menus that conquer restless palates, with gustatory and chromatic intensity.

Restaurant Nub

The restaurant offers two menus. On the one hand, the "Waywen" menu for 135 euros per person and, on the other hand, the "Novatore" menu for 155 euros per person. In addition, Nub has a wine pairing designed to accompany both menus for €95 per person.
