Benijo Beach
Hidden among the mountains of the Anaga Massif, one of the seven Biosphere Reserves of the Canary Islands, this paradisiacal beach is one of the ideal places to watch the sunset in Tenerife. It is usually frequented by swimmers who practice naturism and by lovers of water sports. In addition, its atmosphere is always quiet and intimate, there are hardly any services, except for a kiosk on the back road. It is advisable to visit when the tide is low, to contemplate its wild waters at their peak and be seduced by its charisma.
Los Gigantes Beach
Also known as Los Guíos beach, it is difficult not to hold your breath when you arrive for the first time, but also for the second and third..., to Los Gigantes. These are impressive cliffs whose height ranges between 300 and 600 meters and were baptized in the Guanche era as "the wall of hell".
Among the overhangs of the cliffs you can find several wild beaches and coves of black sand that can only be reached by boat or through trails, such as Masca Beach. Los Guíos beach is located near Puerto de Los Gigantes and is a perfect place to disconnect and admire the scenery.
Diego Hernandez Beach
Also known as "La Caleta de los Hippies" this impressive beach of golden sands and turquoise almost crystalline waters is located in the municipality of Adeje, in the south of Tenerife. Its limestone rock contrasts with the crystalline blue of its waters and is one of the wildest and least known and less traveled beaches of the island.
The beach is accessed by a half-hour walk from the small fishing village of La Caleta. It is advisable to visit at low tide to enjoy the sandy area.
El Médano and La Tejita beaches
In this case we will mention two beaches, but they are very close to each other. On the one hand, the beach of El Medano. Located at the foot of Montaña Roja, the beach of El Médano concentrates all the good things of the natural and the urban. A coastal promenade along two kilometers of coastline that connects the area closest to the town, with a family atmosphere and all the amenities, with the most active area, where the wind is welcome and attracts windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts.
On the other hand, the beach of La Tejita. This is located west of Montaña Roja, which is the remains of a reddish volcanic cone which gives the sandy beach of La Tejita unique characteristics, almost Martian. It is also the largest natural sandy beach of Tenerife and proudly holds the blue flag, although the wind is typical in this area.
